Port of Split
FERRY PORT
The main street of the ferry port is called Obala kneza Domagoja, 5 minutes by foot frome the centre of the city. Long this street there are all the piers of local and international ferries, as well as the railway station and the coach station.
TRANSPORTS
Split airport is about 20 Km in direction north-east, between Kastela and Trogir. The coach of Croatia Airlines (25 Kn) ensure the connection with the city.
To reach the center you can also take the bus 37 Trogir-Spalato (15,50 kn) that runs every 20-30 min along the main road; the service comes to the suburban bus station on Domovinskog rata, about 20 min from the city center.
From the airport, reach the center by taxi costs around 160 - 200 Kn. The taxi stops are outside the railway station and from the bus station and at the ends of east and west of Riva.
TOURIST OFFICE
The tourist office is situated in the historical centre of the city (precisely at Peristil), opened from June until September (Mon- Fry 8 -20, Sat 8-19, Sun 9-13) and from October until May (Mon - Fry 9-17). May (Mon-Fri 9-17). Inside, besides the qualified personnel to ask for information and advice, there are free available maps, list of museums and timetables (www. visitsplit. com). Visit Split by foot is certainly the best way as well as the simplest; however, in some cases, the use of urban transport is essential. There are regular runs between 5 am and midnight; tickets can be bought at newsstands or by tobacconists or directly by the driver. The price of the ticket is 9 Kn (valid for two trips).
