STARI BAR (THE OLD CITY)
Situated on top of a hill, the city is 2 km far from the main city centre. The old Bar is called “the Pompeii of Montenegro” and represents a cultural monument of great importance. Abandoned during the XIX century, Stari Bar still keeps untouched its ancient architecture. The city offers the possibility to visit a medieval village as it appeared in the past.

THE CENTURIES- OLD  OLIVE  TREES
These trees are becoming a real city symbol also because some of them still keeps the name of who planted them. The most famous olive tree is the old olive tree of Mirovica, its age is assessed to more than 2000 years and is claimed to be one of the oldest trees in the world. A legend tells that in the past no one in Bar could have get married before having planted at least ten specimens of this plant.

ORTODOX CHURCH OF ST.  JOVAN VLADIMIR
The magnificent Cathedral of Saint Jovan Vladimir is located in the city centre of Bar, not too far from the seafront. The temple was built in honor of Saint John Vladimir, which is regarded as the first Serbian Saint and the patron saint of the town of Bar.

KING NIKOLA’ S PALACE
King Nikola loves staying in Bar and here he built his summer residence. The king Nikola’s Palace is one of the most beloved places in the city, also for its rich park that surrounds it and its very interesting  museum at the inside.

LAKE SKADAR
