How to reach the Port of Ancona by car

COMING FROM NORTH: take the exit Highway A14 at "ANCONA NORD" (about 15 km from the port). Take the SS76 direction Ancona and follow all the signs to the port-embarkation. After about 8 km, take the exit "Torrette - Porto - Imbarchi" and continue until you reach the state road that  runs along the coast and the railway. After 2 km, take the exit "Porto" on your right, at the end of the straight line, you find the New Maritime Station or Ancona Ferries Terminal. [Path Map]

COMING FROM SOUTH: take the exit Highway A14 at "ANCONA SUD" (about 12 km from the port). Then go straight and at the roundabout (after 400 m) turn left and take the SS16 direction Ancona Centro. After 4 km take the exit "Ancona Centro" and continue the 2 lane road for 5 km until it ends. At the traffic light go straight for 300 m until the roundabout which is in front of the gallery; take the 3rd exit. Continue along Via Martiti della Resistenza for 1 km, go straight at the roundabout to take Via De Gasperi. At the traffic light, go straight until you reach a second roundabout where you turn right. After 200 m take the exit "Uscita Porto". After a short elevated section, take the exit on the right and you will have reached Ancona Ferries Terminal. [Path Map]

Split: how to move around with public transports

The bus tickets can be purchased in a kiosk or directly on board (you have to pay only by cash) and they have to be validated. The price of a single bus ticket goes from 11 to 21 kn, according to the four principal areas you want to reach. The main bus station in Split is Sukosain, next to the main road Domovinskog rata. After 300 m there are the Opcina station, the Trznica (Green Market), the Hrvatsko Narodno Kazaliste (Croatian National Theatre), the west seafront of the St. Francis Church and the station next to the city's port, not far from the main bus terminal and train station. There is a surcharge of 5 Kn for each luggage that passengers carry with them.
