How to reach the Port of Ancona by car

COMING FROM NORTH: take the exit Highway A14 at "ANCONA NORD" (about 15 km from the port). Take the SS76 direction Ancona and follow all the signs to the port-embarkation. After about 8 km, take the exit "Torrette - Porto - Imbarchi" and continue until you reach the state road that  runs along the coast and the railway. After 2 km, take the exit "Porto" on your right, at the end of the straight line, you find the New Maritime Station or Ancona Ferries Terminal. [Port Map]

COMING FROM SOUTH: take the exit Highway A14 at "ANCONA SUD" (about 12 km from the port). Then go straight and at the roundabout (after 400 m) turn left and take the SS16 direction Ancona Centro. After 4 km take the exit "Ancona Centro" and continue the 2 lane road for 5 km until it ends. At the traffic light go straight for 300 m until the roundabout which is in front of the gallery; take the 3rd exit. Continue along Via Martiti della Resistenza for 1 km, go straight at the roundabout to take Via De Gasperi. At the traffic light, go straight until you reach a second roundabout where you turn right. After 200 m take the exit "Uscita Porto". After a short elevated section, take the exit on the right and you will have reached Ancona Ferries Terminal. [Port Map]

How to reach the Port of Ancona from the railway station

From the railway station of Ancona you might take the bus n.12 (the urban travel ticket can be purchased at the tobacco shop inside the railway station) which reach the New Maritime Station of Ancona. It takes about 20 minutes by walk [Path Map]

The nearest airport to Ancona is Falconara, 5 km away from Ancona. You might choice between the taxi or the bus, which arrives at Piazza Cavour, the central square of Ancona. From the square to the Port, you have to walk about one kilometer to reach the destination.

How to reach the centre of Zadar from the port

The most easily way to reach the centre of Zadar is by using the bus service   because the ferries port is not so close to the city. You may buy tickets on board. Zadar: how to move around with public transports

Zadar public transports guarantee an efficient bus service thanks to its 12 lines and 22 means. This service easily allows to visit every area of the old city centre.  Urban buses begin to move at 5 am until midnight and 1 am during the summer season. Buses start their route from the central station every fifteen minutes, from the other stations every twenty minutes. Tickets can be purchased on board or at the kiosk of Liburnia, TISAK and Slobodna Dalmacija central bus station. The price of a return ticket is about 16 kune, the Croatian official value. The ticket is valid for 50 minutes per ride, it should be shown to the bus driver that validates it. Buses of Zadar are a great solution to visit the surrounding areas too. Zadar is well connected with regular lines towards the airport of Zemunik, Bibinje, Biograd, Pakostane, Nin, Zaton, Petrcane, Posedarje, Vir, Sv.Filip i Jakov, Sukosan, Zaton. Tariff depends on the distance covered and goes from 10 to 25 kune. Liburnija also arranges the transport close to Zadar, in the islands of Dugi Otok, Ugljan and Iz.
